“Go into the arts. I’m not kidding. The arts are not a way to make a living. They are a very human way of making life more bearable. Practicing an art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow, for heaven’s sake. Sing in the shower. Dance to the radio. Tell stories. Write a poem to a friend, even a lousy poem. Do it as well as you possibly can. You will get an enormous reward. You will have created something.”

I love flea markets. Even better when you leave with a few good finds.
Yesterday, after the Pacquiao-Marquez fight, my family and I checked out Dapitan St. where export overruns of handicrafts and ceramics were sold. We still haven’t started on our Christmas shopping so this side trip went a little close to panic-buying.
And who wouldn’t? You don’t need to walk farther down the road to spot nicely-designed tea cups, kettles, plates and other sorts of glassware at Php15 to 150 a piece!
This pot, for instance, was only Php50 and stacked away underneath a wooden table. I couldn’t help but beam when I asked for the price. hihi!
So now, it’s sitting on my table and brightening up my whole office space - apart from my Amidala pen holder ;)
